Brady’s of Shankill: At the heart of the local community
Brady's of Shankill is the epitome of what a good local should be - warm, welcoming and at the heart of the local community. Serving great food and drink seven days a week, with live music every weekend and all sporting fixtures live on TV, the pub also hosts countless events and fundraising nights for local community groups and sports clubs.
The staff and customers of Brady's of Shankill also organise their own fundraising initiatives for local charities throughout the year. In the last three years alone, tens of thousands of euro have been raised for organisations such as Bray Cancer Support Centre, the National Rehabilitation Hospital (Dun Laoghaire), the Down Syndrome Centre (Sandyford) and the Irish Cancer Society.
Proprietor John Brady understands that people are what make a good local great. That's why he places a strong emphasis on the highest standards of service and customer care, making sure his clientele are at the heart of everything Brady's does.
Having introduced an all-new a la carte menu for the summer 2014 season at the beginning of May, John and his staff have many exciting plans for the weeks and months ahead, including a fantastic Shopping Spree Competition for his female patrons and a big Welcome Party for over 400 charity hillwalkers completing the Dublin Mountains Way - which finishes at the pub - for Barretstown Camp on 25th May, with live music and a complimentary barbeque in the Beer Garden.
It's no wonder Brady's of Shankill was voted 'Local of the Year' at the National Bar Awards 2012!
